| 1971 to Present
Day...
Many of our
customers ask us who Mr. Rushton is, in fact there is no such person
at all. The name comes from the title of a garage team involved in
motor racing in the 1950-60’s. The team disbanded in 1971 and the
workshop, tools and equipment were used to form
”Rushton Engineering Services”
firstly a company repairing paper handling machinery. Shortly
after this the company started making gears for the clock industry
and in 1979 started marketing their first paper clock card machine.

In the
early 80’s there were many closures and amalgamations of UK based
clock companies which increased the demand for an independent
service outlet. Totally now committed to the Time Recorder market
the company increased its share with innovative products and quality
after sales service. In the early 90’s the current range of
terminals and software were introduced that during this decade saw
the introduction to the range of access control.

By 1999 the
it was felt that the original company name did not now reflect the
true nature of the current portfolio and was changed.
Rushton
Electronic Solutions Limited sat very nicely with the original
logo, millennium end and also reflecting the very nature of the core
products. Today the latest products reflect the new technology and
global changes in working practises. The very size and complexity of
some installations now sees the company involved in roadwork,
construction and all aspects of installation work and design prior
to hand over to the client. The growth of the access control section
providing bespoke applications to industry and commerce has kept
perhaps the oldest company in the forefront of design today.
